I’m unsure if this is the place to ask questions like this but my mother hit her head on a metal table at the factory she works at and had to get 5 staples in her head just now. Is there a procedure that I should walk her through regarding injury time or some sort of compensation for this? She’s currently at the main office filing a report. I’ve never had to deal with anything like this so don’t really know what’s the protocol like. Any advice on next steps I should take if any would be greatly appreciated, thank you 🥺
I had to grind for this turmoil
So I started working data entry at Pharmerica exactly a year ago. Then, I was excluded because I was a new hire, so surely I thought I would get it this year. Around the time they announced the raise (which let me tell y’all its a 37 cent raise) I was also put on a performance improvement plan to increase my orders entered an hour to the required 12/hr. At the same time I had just started working a second job to help pay bills, so I was stressed the fuck out! Nonetheless I was only on it for maybe a week & my numbers improved significantly. But that didn’t matter. They had also announced anyone on the plan would be excluded from receiving a raise. From a fortune 100 bank ..
With all the separate unionization efforts by various retail or warehouse employees that are happening throughout the United States, as well as factory strikes that are also happening. I think we are in a nationwide labor movement but we are just not coordinating with each other. What do all of you think?
