Everybody is rightfully anti-work but why aren't you folks organizing. It's one thing to quit a shitty job and be much more amazing to get your co-workers to agree to unionize and then you'd have the employer by the balls. Pro-tip if they close the shop after you organize or shut it down or lock you out, burn their building and property to the fucking ground if they're going to deny you your livelihood and labor deny them the possibility of profits. /rant Edit: Spelling

When Capitalism lets you down
2 bedroom 1 bathroom is 1,500 per month. That's a “cheap” place. Property managements require each tenant makes 3x the rent. That's 54k a year. I'm lucky to get 30k with my husband per year. I'm dying out here. Boss refuses to acknowledge that cost of living in our town is 26% higher than the national average. I can't qualify for anything and I'm stuck in an RV with my husband and my 5 year old daughter. She starts school in a week and we don't have reliable internet at the RV park. I also don't have any way to move the RV at the moment. I am feel so hopeless. Here's to another winter in the cold. 🙁
It’s been 10 days since I made my first post about this situation. (Link to original post) Thank you, internet strangers: First, I want to thank all the internet strangers who made contributions to the original post with comments, upvotes and awards. The antiwork communities’ response really means a lot to me! Reading all those comments made me…

Before which she interviewed me and I told her that the tip distribution system is not transparent and that it took me 1.5 months to receive my last paycheck. My boss called half way through our conversation to “correct” what I said (our place has microphones). Later my boss told me I was lying, that she heard everything, and then she fired me. This is at a restaurant in East Village, NY.
It finally happened
I was headhunted by a recruiting agency by email. They asked for my salary requirements. I told them “$120,000. This is based on my certifications, my near decade working with VMware as well as market data. (I linked to articles). They responded with “we are look for someone for our family and who isn't solely focused on money.” Me “well, bye.”
