Just got fired.
Title. I’m an i-9 worker. I work in construction. My former employer fired me because I don’t want to work weekends. After leaving me in charge of a 250k job I asked for a raise. He showed up to this particular job a grand total of 3 times. That was over a month ago. Well this morning he says, “josh”. (he is the owner of the company I subcontract for.) Isn’t happy because some work didn’t get done over the weekend. I responded that after some bills I paid I had a total of $10 in my account. He started getting mad when he said I don’t want to work anymore. No I don’t want to work weekends anymore. I want to spend it with my wife and kids, sue me. When is the breaking point?

no 2 week notice = tip forfeit?
Is it legal in Florida to take tips from an employee for not providing a 2 week notice prior to quitting? Doesn't seem legal, but not positive about Florida tipping laws.
Growing up I’d hear that you don’t want to be a garbage man, but now it seems like the only careers “society” pushes now are entrepreneurs, influencers and finance. You can’t tell a generation of people that nurses are glorified butt wipers and not be surprised when there’s a shortage of workers, same goes for teachers. We have devalued and unprofessionalized so many careers while only glorifying a few. Kids used to want to be astronauts what kid wants be an astronaut nowadays.
