You’d think all these people/businesses spouting capitalism would understand that non compete clauses are inherently anti capitalist. Convince me to stay at your company because you are the best employer, not because you stripped my options from me (though to be fair I did sign it so…)
Voting is essential to making change, on top of protesting and making our voices heard. So get out an vote in the US, make the polls wrong!
It's been repeated many times on here, but I'll say it again. If you have to start a job at 8 am, that means you must wake up an hour earlier, give or take. You will work, and arrive home somewhere around 5 pm given an average work day. You will now need to shower, make food, and do other household activities. 8 hours of sleep is recommended, so you want to be in bed and asleep by 11 pm. Let's say that you only have to do all these things for 2 hours. You have 4 hours of free time to do whatever you want. Four hours. I don't know about you, but this feels a bit like a “live to work” lifestyle.

Kinda annoyed at the fact I was told to speed up. I'm pretty slow motored compared to everyone else. That's why I got a job as a stocker. Didn't think stockers had to be fast pace. Thought it was go you're own pace and no interaction with customers too much. So not sure what's going on but I think my managers were watching me. Like to take my time and make sure I don't fuck up. Apparently they want their cake and eat it too. They told my hiring manager and was told there is a lot of products in the back. At least 50% needed to be put away. But before I didn't have a problem before with speed. Now they don't want to let me go because I was reliable and hardworking(which I call bullshit cuz I can recall them being low staff).
