Yo CEO, here is my post resignation email… Warning- Open at your own risk…

Damn can you believe it’s been about 4 months since I bowed my head and walked away from a job that I thought I loved with my whole heart. At some point I felt lost because I thought everything I was, was dependent on my job with your company… Talk about an identity crisis, who was I with out the job that I worked so hard for 12 damn years. Yeah CEO, I knew you personally even had the pleasure of having you as my manager. You taught me so much and the funny thing is I continue to learn from you even from a far… To be honest you and your company was my entire life all that I had and clung on to. But what I keep learning is how you fucked up by letting me go so to speak. Sure I’m the one that pulled the trigger…

need some advice about a new job i just started that i’ve noticed a lot of red flags in

so i got a job at a restaurant. i don’t really wanna say anything about the restaurant bc i’m scared they’ll see it somehow, but my part of the job is very easy and just involves making drinks. nothing negative has happened directly to me, but i’ve noticed some things that give me a bad feeling. there’s a sign up in the kitchen that says that the bathrooms need to be cleaned once a day and that each employee is required to clean the bathroom once a week and if they don’t, $100 of their salary will be taken away and given to the person who cleaned the bathroom in their place. the boss also keeps making casual jokes about how if you break something, the money for the replacement comes out of your paycheck. also, i was talking to my therapist about the job and she said she has…

Do people not know it’s basically a job requirement to piss in bottles at Amazon?

TL;DR: Your Amazon package almost certainly has piss particles on it. Does the general public not know, or not care. If so, what exactly would need to happen for them to care? I work at Amazon part time as a delivery driver, and it’s an unwritten (but often verbally spoken) rule that employees need to pee in bottles throughout their shift. Basically we have to deliver to x(usually 20) number of stops per hour (I assume for the company to remain profitable). If you fall behind that pace, you get in trouble from your dispatcher. The dispatcher tracks that throughout the entire day, and the clock does NOT stop while on break. In other words if you if you take your break, it tracks as you delivering to 0 stops for that entire time. I’m usually far enough ahead that I can take my break and use the bathroom once…

Your boss can monitor your activities without special software

Commonly used network-connected apps such as Zoom, Slack and Microsoft Office give managers the ability to find everything from the number of video meetings in which you’ve actively participated, to how much you chatted online with co-workers and the number of documents you saved to the cloud. https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/10/07/work-app-surveillance PS: I’m a business owner and a supporter of this sub.
