So the company I used to work for fused with another company and out of nowhere my boss wanted me to work in a branch (branch of company they fused with) that's almost an hour drive away from where I live. I used to work in my local branch that's a 5 min walk from my apartment so I can take my dog for a walk during my break. I was stunned. There was no reason for me to work in this new branch aside from appearances and filling empty offices so it looks good for the visiting customers. Hell, I worked from home from November 21 till May 22 and there wasn't even a reason for me to come back to the office at all… I immediately started looking for a new job and guess who found an awesome position with a young team and a 1.1k per month…
One of our best dudes. 30 years old making only $22 an hour. He found a job making $36 an hour in a different field. Great benefits. Close to home. The only catch is he has to start tomorrow. Co-manager is losing his mind. The word “unprofessional” has been said at least ten times this morning. If we wanted this guy to stay we should have paid him $36 an hour. That's all there is to it. This guy doesn't owe us shit. If I got a job offering me that much I wouldn't even have the decency to show up and collect my personal affects from my office. Fuck loyalty. I'm proud of this guy. Get paid.

Infuriating coworker
This morning at work, i was using my headphone to communicate with my team at work, and a coworker come to me wanting to take my headphone without even asking, justifying it by his online training. I said that I am working with it and i can't shut down the call just to give him the headphone, but he kept insisting and insulting ( saying like crazy people and screaming on my face ) even though i rejected to give him the headphone. What do you think i should do in this case ?
Basically what the title reads but just looking to get some legal clarity on this. The company I work for is a small chain but our clinic is privately owned. The owner has always tried to separate herself from the rest of the company and we are looked at as the black sheep of the company. But we all share the same HR and she had always been someone I can reach out to for issues with anything. This morning my manager gets a call from our owner, who only works 2 days week but thinks she works more than anyone else. After the call he comes over immediately to me and the only other coworker in at the time. He then says “going forward no one is to contact HR directly, you need to go through me or the owner first.” I'm just confused because isn't the point of…

Am I getting quiet fired?
This is a throwaway in case my work sees this. But ive recently heard the term “quiet firing” and what it is. And I wanna know if thats happening to me? I work in hospitality in a small kiosk for a small business and theres only 3 us that work there, im part time and their both full time. At first it seemed good, fair hours, close by and good pay. I got along with them in the beginning, but after a while it slowly died down. (Side note: this roughly happened after I mentioned that I had ASD) They started talking to me less, only having conversations with eachother and everytime I try to join, they just either ignore me or just shrug it off like it wasnt interesting and they would talk to me if it involved doing work chores. I said something about how I felt in…
