One dev posted it here that he was annoyed with a salary offerings 70-90k per year. It's a good f***ing salary. It's totally unfair, snobby and not even polite to the community. It's a good amount of money. A lot of people in US and EU earn that amount of money and live a pretty good live.
AITA For walking out on my job?
i (f21) work at starbucks as a barista. i’ve worked for the company on and off for two years due to my not working during the school year (i’m a fourth year college student). i began working at my current location in june and am returning to college in a few days. since i’ve been here, i’ve felt a large amount of animosity from one of the shift supervisors. i’ll admit that i stand my ground and i’ve been told that sort of behavior bothers her, but things should not have escalated this far. she often opens the store and i am scheduled for when we open, so she will unlock the doors when i get there and then walk away without saying anything, leaving me to open the door myself (this seems silly, but she opens the door before she unlocks it for everyone else, as this is the…
Obama rose to power as the first black president after the 2008 financial collapse. His rhetoric was music to the ears of Americans whose wages had been stagnant for 40 years. But Obama was the banks’ man through and through. Citibank itself selected the appointees for Obama’s cabinet. While Wall Street was handsomely bailed out with public funds, ordinary Americans were left to pick up the pieces of their shattered financial lives. This transfer of wealth from poor-to-rich was the polar opposite of the old New Deal strategy, which saved the economy by transferring wealth from rich-to-poor. FDR’s Democrats once flexed the muscle of a powerful working class majority. But their modern counterparts accept the same paymasters as Republicans to instead gaslight that majority out of their wealth. Like the Washington Generals, their goal is not victory. It’s putting on a credible show of opposition. ” Read of…
Something to think on.
People kept on leaving, I got sick of doing their work on top of my own I came up with an idea (because I'm usually the one doing extra hours) that demonstrates that they need to employ more people, I wouldn't be doing any extra hours none. My boss looks absolutely exhausted like she's about to collapse and I'm feeling a little guilty. I'm starting to wonder if I was a bit harsh. She was paying me for all the hours I worked but there are other things I want to do besides work. IDK something to think on.

Hi! My boss has had us install time trackers for our work PC. problem is I work fast and 6 hours of work is done in around 3 or 4. what programs can you suggest? We're using time doctor
I do pest control and I'm getting fired tomorrow. The company worked for has ridiculously high standards. I made sure all of my accounts met or exceeded those ridiculously high standards. Everything was cool for a couple months. Didn't even know I had a supervisor until I was about 6 months in. A few months ago they changed up routes and put me on a route where the other technician was doing nothing with his stops to meet the company standards. I would spend the 20-30 mins allotted to do the service and fix as much as I could (all the accounts needed double the time allotted to get them right, which wouldve made every work day 14-16 hours, which would be fine if i didnt have a wife and 4 kids i love spending time with). I'd always leave notes on the account asking for extra time next visit…
When I joined this sub a couple of years ago there were great discussions about thee theory of antiwork, what it could look like, how we should make it happen etc. now it seems to be just bad job/quitting posts. Where has the fire for change gone? Where are those who want to argue about how to best change things? Where are the communism/socialism/capitalism debates?!
