I f**king did it. Last Monday, I put in my 3 weeks notice for my toxic job. I was supposed to be on PTO last Friday to get my wisdom teeth removed. After last Thursday night, I took half of my stuff home because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to carry heavy items after my wisdom teeth removal. Right before I saw my dentist on Friday, the head of HR called me and questioned why I packed all my stuff and emptied my desk when my 3 weeks wasn't over. She said I was unprofessional to leave like that without notification. I was caught off guard because I didn't intend to leave and was stressed up with arriving on time for my dentist's appointment. On Monday, as soon as I got back, I took pictures of my desk that with all my items still lying on my desk.…

Unionize TESLA!
She's a nurse and works at a small nursing facility that doesn't pay its employees as well as other big acute hospitals nearby. I always wondered why she never worked at acute hospitals when she could make so much more. She told me that she used to work at acute hospital and it was so toxic. That was why she left and found the right place for her.
I am done working for this company.
Long time lurker. I started here about a year ago at the bottom. November is my 1 year and ive already climbed the ladder to operator on two machines. I signed a lets call it a contract for a 3month operator training on the second machine. HR never came to me at 3months, I had to go to them after two weeks over that deadline. I was told “oh we get a ping on our computer when its time, ill look into it and get back to you tomorrow”. I waited two days and went back to HR to see what was going on because again they dont come to me. Get told the process is now happening… fast forward TWO MONTHS and two weeks. I get told my hours are like 168 behind. They agree that a big part of that is because of no material handler and set…
The System is Fucked Up.
Why the fuck the system doesn't reward people who follow it? Instead, people who do illegal stuff and don't follow the system can afford work-free life. I live in a developing country where If you go get your degree, work hard, and be smart you won't get even rich. If you are sick, you will just get fired and that's it. I'm not condoning illegal activities but the fuck one should think if, from one observation of the system, the system is broken.
What a time to be alive!
Saw this in a cab in Singapore
I know the photo quality is shit, but I remember seeing this in a cab in Singapore in 2019 & it honestly warmed my heart that the initiative to advocate for the workers rights was from the company itself. This should be everywhere. For those of you who can't see the writing it says: PLEASE KEEP OUR TAXI DRIVERS ABUSE-FREE They have the right to work in a safe environment like everyone else. Any person guilty of harassing, causing alarm, or distress, fear or provocation of violence, using indecent, threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviours towards a public service worker shall be liable to a fine of upto $5000 and/or imprisonment not exceeding 12 months.
