A manager who works in health care system gossiped to an employee about why another employee was on leave. I overhead, she’s on leave because she was staying in a mental facility. Should I report him? Employee who’s on leave doesn’t know what’s been shared, I just think this is grossly inappropriate.
Not that I can afford a house anytime soon, but sometimes i browse Zillow looking at less expensive houses for sale in different locations. Almost every single one of the houses under 150k says it is currently occupied by a tenant and the few that aren’t say “great rental property/investment” in the description.
So my current boss is unfortunately on his way out the door. I really do enjoy working with him and being his second hand in the business. I've worked directly under him for the last 1.5 years. It's been great, albeit filled with some big downs because of the owners. The owners are a married couple who own a few businesses all in the same field spread throughout the state I'm in. They don't show up often, but when they do, they stand around and make passive aggressive comments about everything. Especially employee wages. None of us make enough to really get by comfortably. We're scraping paycheck to paycheck. ALL of us, even my current boss, which is why he's leaving. I would like to add that I am giving it my all to get us unionized. The owners though….they like to vacation….a lot. Around 8+ expensive trips a year.…
I hate where I work now and I’m planning to quit very soon. The pay is horrible, the management sucks. It’s a locally owned company. Not sure where to go or what to do, any recommendations? Anyone here needing remote workers lol? 🥲 im at a loss.
I got promoted to my current position about six months ago. Now my boss is expecting me to complete a course in order to keep this position, even though this was never mentioned at the time of my promotion. The company will be paying for the course, but I have to complete it on my own time. I have been told that it will take about six months to complete if I work on it every day. They recommended that I use my lunch break to work on it. I like my job, but I have no interest in pursuing a long-term career in this industry and even less interest in giving away 100+ hours of my own time in order to do so. I told them that I cannot commit to taking the course right now due to time constraints, so now they are researching similar courses that take…
As I ruminate over the my experience in “Craven – A Corrupted Culver's Story”, I discovered that the worst part of surviving multiple toxic bosses and workplaces is when it makes you fear your next toxic boss and workplace to such a degree that it gives you agoraphobia. Makes you a hermit. Heh, I need $800 by tomorrow. I needed a job while I still had stitches in my hand for trigger finger release surgery, and just as I sat down at my computer to hook myself out, I could feel my blood pressure and anxiety jack right the fuck up. My fight or flight mechanism is getting triggered at the very prospect of looking for my next “hit-it-and-quit-it” … Tell me I'm not alone! *sigh*
I'm worried I'll lose my job I have proof from the hospital that I tested positive for covid 5 days ago. I'm still coughing up a storm and I am always extremely tired I work in a cold Factory with chemicals and right now my lungs are super sensitive. I live in a right to work state. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should do?
