Me at my old job as a cashier, dead of winter in Canada our heaters broke and the front door wouldn’t close fully, but they still made us work. This was my outfit that day.

A few words I said to my boss about loyalty: “If I could get away with it forever in a cheap and efficient way, just like the zodiac killer, I would stab you several times, without a second thought”. We started laughing

My boss is acting sweet as pie now that I gave her my notice

As if she hasn’t been a complete bitch to me since I started working here. I don’t think your boss is meant to be sweet and nice and Glinda the Good Witch, but respect is the bare minimum and if they can’t give you the bare fucking minimum then you should look for a new job. Our notice is 30 days, so I’ll do that and then I’m out, hopefully I’ll have found a better something better by then, but honestly being unemployed is better than this job. I’m her fourth employee to quit this year and somehow she still doesn’t know what’s wrong. “Maybe we can find another activity for you to do, maybe you can work from home” maybe I can get a better job where the boss isn’t a psycho.

We scored 98% on a inspection. The highest ever for this plant

And they rewarded us with a potluck. I don't want your burger. I want money. That's why I am here. Sorry I had to rant to people who understand

My neighborhood has a new local coffee shop that will probably fail within a year. How do I know this?

My neighborhood has this major road with a walkway and bike path that takes you right to the local public transit hub. This is where people take buses and trains in to the nearby city to go to work. People like coffee in the morning, so having a coffee shop in this area should be a win-win, right? Well, this coffee shop is a block away from the main road. If it were on the main road you'd have tons of foot traffic. But in order to get there you have to cross a busy intersection, go off your route, wait in line, and then cross the intersection again to continue your walk. Oh yeah, the coffee shop is also about 10 minutes away from the actual hub, it's not like you can just get coffee and then hop on a train. The other hint? It's only open from 8AM-1PM…
