Kinda scared but hoping everything works out. What shows up in a pre-employment background check? I’m thinking I can get away with still saying I’m employed for a while.
we’re well looked after

I just put my two weeks in with no plan
I’m looking for advice on how to move forward. I’ve thought of a few routes including remote work/doing “gigs” like door dash or instacarters. Not sure how effective they are. I thought about doing some sort of twitch streaming, doing singing or drawing and having people make requests… that sounds too much like a “dream”, right?
New Job Already Pushing My Limits
I just got back into a corporate ER job in the vet field. I am so excited to start working ER again and nightshift was by far my favorite shift. That being said when asked about my availability I stated I was completely free all day any day they choose with the exception being Saturday nights after 5pm. This is the one time a week I see my friends and the only time we can truly hang out and play DnD. Imagine my suprise when I opened up my employment paperwork today and noticed they scheduled me to work Thursday through Sunday nights. It's things like this that make me question if it's on purpose of my field is just this toxic. The pay is great but honestly thinking I should just take the pay cut and work factory the rest of my life.
Employers don’t care about you
I don’t know if this is the right thread to post this, but thought I’d share. I own/book a small music venue (250 capacity), I do a good job, I feel we improve year after year, and the usual buzz on the streets is “you guys are selling out shows left and right!” There’s a larger venue in town that is more of a Broadway/Theater type place. They’ve had plans to expand for a while now and are going to be opening a few new rooms, one is a 1300 capacity club. For a while I had heard “_______ has an eye on you”. That’s nice to hear, but I didn’t really put any stock into it. Then Covid happened, and it was the last thing on my mind. I had become acquainted with the VP through another project of mine and could kind of tell he was listening intently…
NPR mindset, LSC grindset
I'm not even sure what the shoot is supposed to be but it's probably for social media. Interviewing teachers and assistants at the daycare I work for. They had a professional photographer come in last week to take headshots of which I wasn't made aware of (just like this incident there is no communication besides hearsay) I told them I refuse and was the only one who didn't get a photo. I could tell they weren't pleased. I'm afraid of getting fired if I don't do this thing.
