when getting laid off or fired jobs usually give little to zero notice about it. so why is a 2 week notice for quitting still standard? Last job of mine I was at for two years. My last day I walked out, never came back. To this day still haven't spoken to a single person from that job, and I hope it really set them back. companies really treat employees like trash, but most still feel obligated to give 2 weeks… why? you're replaceable

I started working for my local hospital 2 months ago, and whenever the ceo was mentioned everyone just said they hated him. I completely understand hating CEO’s in general so didn’t bother digging deeper. The other day while I was in the cafeteria for lunch this random older man started chatting with me while we were in the checkout line.
