“Tell me about a time you were the leader of a team, and you were faced with a challenge that was so difficult you thought it would be impossible, but you ended up leading your team to victory?” the last 5 entry level job interviews I had all asked this question. Best answer I had was So this one time I was playing Fortnite with some squeakers. And they were really bad. I thought forsure we were gonna lose. They both died to grenades early on. But I ratted the fuck out of the closing circle and 360 noscoped the last guy to get a win for our team.
my boss is 2 weeks late on my pay
My boss was supposed to pay me for September on 30th sep and hasn't paid me yet (14th oct). He now isn't replying to my texts or calls asking for my money, and my message asking about my overdraft fees was left on read yesterday. My bank account is overdrewn and I'm at my wits end. I know that the customer has paid him. Sorry about the formatting, I'm not much of a writer at the best of times. Does anyone have any (uk) advice for me?
When is the retailers strike? (UK)
Everyone else is striking. Post, rail, teachers (teachers are voting on striking today – majority will vote yes) Is it poss to have a nation wide retail strike? Obv we're all in different companies but I can't imagine we're not all struggling with cost of living. Is there any news of this? Has anyone started organising? If not – how can we start?
So basically I had a second job. Minimum wage was raised in Germany and he didn't raise our wages even though I reminded him. I worked 7 hours + 1 hour unpaid break. But I didn't get to take the break since I was the only one in the store. So basically one hour stolen. Then I quit. He was okay with it, thank god. He was always a little late with payments but my last payment came on the 11th this month, even though it should've been there on the first day of the month. I reported him for the minimum wage thing. I also tried to report the break violation but the woman basically told me they couldn't justify an investigation for that. If I stole anything from him I would be investigated but not the other way around? No one cares.
Why do managers disregard mental health?
I've been suffering from mental health for some years. At one point, I nearly did something stupid. Stopped before anything happened, phoned my doctor for an urgent appointment and then told my manager what happened and I won't be in. He proceeded to say “Well come in after your appointment. Your still here so you're not that bad.” I got signed off for 2 weeks and my manager is still a sack of shit and still doesn't care. I'm surprised that I haven't quit yet
Is this an actual joke? Salary is only 35k a year when market average is 45k+
