They make the decision to pay less money in wages and not have enough staff. They put it on you to do overtime (salaried) with the threat of bad reviews or no pay rise or whatever. They are taking money away from you by not immediately paying you what they are saving by not having X number of employees. They are stealing your exercise time, your housework time, your hobby time, time with your children, time with family and friends. The audacity.
I feel like I'm always burnt out and unmotivated everytime I'm done with work. I'm slowly learning how not to work so damn hard but living paycheck to paycheck on minimum wage is a cage that is so hard to get out off while you're burnt out from it all. Any tips? I pushed to prove myself day by day, and after a year I had more responsibilities than anyone else in the shop. They literally had me in charge of an entire station for building these engine racks for Toyota, teaching new people how to do it, and I was the official Quality Control for the entire crew checking everything that gets sent out and checking every nook and cranny to ensure the racks were actually good to go. But even after ALL this time and effort I’ve it into the company, they still treat me like complete shit. About two weeks ago I finally quit because they…
