My good friend of a couple years brother runs a nail shop in Louisiana near where I live. Two nights ago he texted the group chat saying his brother needed receptionist and he was paying 10-12 an hour. I like an idiot was prepared to work at 8 am before discussing pay with the owner TJ. I was told it would be reception work mainly customer focused with light cleaning involved. So I show up at 8 am ready to work a couple hours. The day runs until 7:30 during the day I’m told if I do a good job all the nail techs will tip me a 5$ minimum. None do besides my friend. I go home and message my friend about pay which he says will happen on Tuesdays. I asked how much I made today he texts the boss and he gets a response of 70$ for…

I am in the middle of an event, for the very first time in my life I am a part of such a big thing. It’s a virtual event so we’re all working from our homes. We have panel discussions and I was supposed to be introducing each panelist. Firstly, I’ve got serious anxiety when I talk in front of people and stage fright. Second, I’ve just got a mean resting bitch face. I got through the day somehow, but after all the introductions where over, a guy called me up from work and said I should smile a little more.
My manager is mean to me
I’m (F17) and just started working in the food industry and today my manager was so mean I ended up crying in my car:/ today was my 4th day and I’ve got okay training but not good enough if that makes sense but today I messed up on a couple orders and she got so visibly irritated with me my whole shift and when I was done with someone else’s order she told me to clock out when I was done. I never thought i was gonna cry over a job but here I am🫤. And today there was a new girl and she was showing her how to do a bunch of stuff and I’ve only trained in one station like wtf
