Vent: “Celebrating” my 5 year work anniversary

Non-profit office drone doing the work of two people since June when my colleague quit, and there's been no movement on hiring the replacement. Today I told 0 people about my anniversary because I hate all my colleagues. I found out I'm getting audited in less than a month in an email forwarded from my boss with a mere “fyi”, no surprise there he doesn't give a shit I'm overworked. I ended my day at 9:30 pm explaining I'm terrified of requesting accommodations for my disability because it will give my boss another excuse to string me along with a promised “expansion of my leadership role”. My body and mind are crumbling from not well controlled ADHD, TMJ pain from the stims that were supposed to help the ADHD, along with your garden variety depression, IBS, suicidal ideation. Probably the depression talking, but I could literally drop dead working at…

Here’s a great example of capitalism

My wife received her first shipment of Enbrel in the mail yesterday and we got the receipt upon arrival. Her copay was $40 but the retail was $6000 for a one month supply of just four doses. Yes that is correct, six thousand dollars. We decided to search the highest cost by country and learned that the next closest country in cost, Germany, wasn’t even close at $1600 with most under $1000. It is absurd that this is allowed to go on in this country, and yet even more absurd that it it drives the overall healthcare costs. Capitalism at its finest….

How can i make money without a job, I regret quitting my job.

Reason I'm posting here is because I was anti work, I told myself why should I be working for someone like a company or a corporstion that doesn't care about me or respect me while they're sitting around comfortably, living the best life. But then I sort of hit a dead end. I have a ton of bills piling up now, too much free time. I've spent a lot of time looking for ways to make money on the side but I can't without much skills. Maybe I should of thought of this before quitting, but I wasn't really thinking about the future then, I just wanted to leave my toxic workplace. My boss actually made me cry, and fired me for saying I was going to quit. Didn't even give me a chance to quit, took me into the office and said you're fired when infact I had already…

Worked at a popular sandwich chain a few years ago and never received a paycheck.

Worked at this place for a few weeks when I was 19. Received bare minimum training and then was often left to run the place by myself. I was there one day when a health inspector came and was extremely uncomfortable with his behavior towards me so I pretended to have a family emergency and left. The guy was an absolute creep and tried to get me to go into the back with him some. (The place was disgusting and the fridge had mold in it, which I knew nothing about as I had received no instructions for cleaning and literally just made sandwiches in the front all day, btw) Texted the manager that I quit. Never received a dime from them. Is this worth pursuing legally?

Musk makes a dollar, I make a

One eighty thousandth, six hundred sixty seventh of a cent (0.0000124c). Based on Musk's net worth increase of 121 billion in 2021 and the approximate annual income of a worker earning the federal minimum wage of 7.25/hr or about 15k per year. By the time I've made a dime, Musk has made over eight hundred thousand dollars, more than I will make in my entire working life.

Not Sure If This Belongs Here, But Twitter Thread Breaks Down The Death Of Capitalism

https://twitter.com/Grossmanite/status/1575240747456294912?s=20&t=eWHEPEwPPxQiwALDf-xr9A The guy is an economist and a Marxist! But basically our technology is going so fast that it's creating diminishing returns for all asset classes for the first time in history. The question is whether capitalism will die a natural or a violent death.
