I work in a very small hole in the wall restaurant. However it gets extremely busy for what our staff can handle. ( We are really understaffed. ) Sundays is our busiest day of the week as we have somewhere between 200-300 total orders from 7-3pm. This Sunday we were swarming. We have a system were we print out tabs or checks for tables and the server brings that check to the cashier to charge for cash payments. This day since we were swarming. One of the cashiers made a mistake. Charging the wrong check. Causing like 20$ to be lost. When the owner found out she litterally flipped her shit. She sounded pissed and said “I lost over 20$ over this”. To give you an idea. I'm the shift lead/ manager and I can see how much the restaurant makes in sales. This day it was roughly 5k-6k in…
Meeting request came in that clashed with the day of my operation. Politely told my manager that it wasn’t happening but you know, flexible working, I can dial in from the ward before I go in right?

Hi all, I've posted here before about a really nice job I still have. This is something that just happened yesterday that I thought I should share. The pay isn't spectacular or anything and there's no glamor in what I do, so I will be eventually quitting, but I've noticed I…
So I was fired while on disability (after my FMLA expired) after being dragged for months believing my job was still there when I got back. When I told them I'm ready to come back in the next few weeks, they started the process to bring me back, but kept saying they needed one more week to get things organized, but after two months of this they finally said they had no position for me. So, I kind of no so nicely demanded my personal items and again, this went back and forth for two months. They would tell me they're gathering my things, but every week when I checked in, they made no progress. I finally started CCing the CEO, President, etc of the company to my emails and suddenly my stuff appeared (except my iPad) and that they would replace the iPad and include it in the box…
For clarification, I left early today and didn’t get to make it to lunch time. He is referring to when I went to use the restroom and sat down for about 3 mins to give me feet a little break. Done it plenty of times in the past without a problem.
