Meanwhile politicians and economists keep talking about ideals that don’t really exist.
Uhhh wtf? I hope they don’t mean it

Show me the data!!!
Prove it to me! Show it to me! Give me the standard deviation! Give me the regression analysis! How the hell does asking: “Tell me about yourself” “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” “Tell me about a time you have failed” “What are you strengths?” have any correlation of you being a great employee or succeeding in a role? When did this trend start? Who started this? How did they even remotely come to the conclusion If the candidate answers in the way you are expected to respond this makes them a good selection? Excuse me?! People are way more complex than a stylized speech that has to be answered in a particular manor; otherwise, you’ll be deemed as a bad candidate by HR and management. How does answering “what are you weakness” make you a good candidate or a bad one? Show me the data! Show me…
No holiday pay at Grocery Outlet.
I was at Grocery Outlet getting a few staples and snacks for the 4th of July. Asked the cashier if the shop would be open on the Monday holiday. Hoping the answer would be No! Today is Saturday and workers are still waiting for their upcoming week's schedule. She also said the company doesn't do holiday pay. If you're not familiar, the company sells discount food and household stuff at big discounts. About 300 stores over a half dozen states. This store location is convenient and sells at low prices, but at what cost? I'm reconsidering shopping here at all (on holidays & otherwise).
