My mom worked for a prestigious hospital system in the Midwest. She has been a practicing pharmacist since the 80’s. Her supervisor told her after getting a new position in 2017, “You’re so good, I just regret not hiring you sooner.” Over time, they hired people who caused problems and didn’t get the work done. It got so bad, my mom began filing safety complaints, as problems with the IV’s they handle had safety issues. They told her to stop complaining about it, because they can’t find people for the job and told her “she was replaceable”. This is a woman who has been licensed and practicing since the 80’s. She raised safety concerns, was a quality employee, and they want to fire her because she wanted a safe product for patients. Another example of why people don’t want to work.

Hey, I quit my fucking job :)
America lmao
I’m a disabled teenager in fast food (off to a great start) and I just calculated that I’m making a whopping 16k a year. The job that causes constant physical and emotional pain, that I have to bandage my feet every night because of and has caused me to lose my will to live (and I mean this 100% seriously) is paying me $16,000 a year. So, love that!!
I was just hired at a very large company that is known nationwide. The work is very labor intensive, and very dangerous. More than 200 deaths, and thousands of injuries have been reported since 2006. I have put in MANY hours of heavy physical labor shifts that last 12-22 hours in one day. In the past 3 days I put in a 12 hour day, a 16 hour day, and today I worked 18 hours, got off at 2am, and I am expected to be back at 10am, to work another 16-20 hour shift. I told the boss I needed to take a day off due to not physically being able to work myself to death for free. He told me he wouldn't have me back if I took the day off. I said that's fine, as I have not been paid ONCE since I started early July. I know…
