My employer is trying to force me to send a resignation letter, why?

I quit in person due to having to remain fully available monday-sunday and there not being enough hours/pay. He requested I send an email of my resignation for his “records” however I don’t trust him and will not being doing this. Thoughts?

it’s crazy how they completely avoid mentioning paying the employees for the extra work and make the people who are only doing what they were hired to do out to be the bad guy.

The number of jobs is not a good metric to base how good the economy is doing from.

I hate seeing people claim that the economy is doing great because there were 528,000 jobs created and unemployment is down to 3.5% No shit. Most of us are working more than one job just to pay the bills because the cost of living is absolutely ridiculous. That's not even considering the employers that create jobs just to post and never actually hire anybody. Look at how employers handled their PPP loans! They took out giant loans intended to pay their staff, laid off a ton of people anyways, then posted job searches for those positions with ridiculously unrealistic requirements for them because they didn't intend to actually hire anyone in that role. And those that do fit those requirements would be getting paid way less than what they are worth. Especially for “entry level” positions that require years of experience, a bachelor's degree, for you to work in person,…
