I see these posts of employers saying you'll be fired if you talk about your pay; and lots of other bullshit. I wish some dumbfuck would pull some shit. FFS run these bitches through the ringer for me. Where I live, no employer would even try to get away with the shit I see on this sub; not for a minute. Honestly: I fantasize about getting oppressed like some of you do, just so I can go to fucking town with a team of lawyers on these assholes. TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY. PLEASE! If you're already poor then you have everything to gain and there's ALWAYS going to be some Better Call Saul lawyer that wants their money; and you'll get a piece Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think I am
From all the posts we've seen on here it wouldn't be uncommon to realize that many of you have been through a great many hardships in life. But wouldn't that experience effectively make you a Far powerful and more empathetic leader? As a manager or a small business owner you would Never take advantage of your employees and always do your best to put them first. You would be a True manager and a leader in that you would constantly guide them and motivate them to do better. Your small business would be extremely ethical and you would work under the paradigm that “the workers own the means of production.” Meaning.. if you had SmallBusinessDeviceA, that cost $40/month to maintain, and 40 employees, each employee would pay in $1 from their paycheck for the maintenance of that device, or machine. Or, as the business owner, You would pay in $20…
Tired of Abusive Managers
I have tried to change my situation several times, changing job roles and changing industries. Each time I run into the same scenario: an abusive boss that likes to overwork me into 60+ hour work weeks, likes to reject my PTO (even when reserved months in advance), and likes to nitpick me on petty things for no reason (thus creating a hostile environment). On this current try, I thought private sector was an issue and that I’d have better luck in the local government sector with a union. The point of a union is that you essentially have a lawyer that blows the whistle when there is something wrong and fight for you. (In private sector, you have to do the fighting yourself and know how to fight well against injustice in order to avoid getting fired). Well, I run into the issue of an abusive manager again. I report…
What’s it like being a bad employee?
What is it genuinely like being a “bad employee”? I have been trying to be a good employee at every job I’ve ever had and it always results in the company expecting more from me without ever giving me more in return. I just want to be the person that shows up, does a fine job, then leaves – but I don’t know how that will change the work atmosphere. But showing up everyday to “try my best” and “go above and beyond” for a strenuous job barely paying my bills sucks big time and wears away at my mental health. But will worrying about the repercussions of being the “bad employee” be worse? Any advice or personal experiences with this?
Hi Wells i get fired
well they fired me from work after 4 days I posted in a facebook group that the place overcharged and apparently they saw it it was a private group according to me but well someone has something similar happened?
They can’t cheat people anymore.
These companies that have paid the minimum to workers for years are seeing what happens when you continue to pay a non living wage.People just won't work for little to nothing anymore just to fight to keep the lights water and food in their homes when they can't afford rent.Other countries who pay workers high minimum wages are more productive happier and healthier .We are watching the greatest known catastrophe to ever happen to those who have taken from the working class people ever. Those who say McDonald's people shouldn't get 15 an HR have never stood over a hot grill for 8 to 10 hrs .While getting apple pies out of another hot oven while your feet feel like like gonna go numb and holding your urine because a manager says you cannot take a break because they drive thru is full while wondering how you are gonna pay for…
“wage earners”.

Long term disability
I need advice from people that have gotten long term disability leave from work. How did you get it? Because I am stressed, sick, overworked, chronic headaches, today I went to get my chest X-ray to see if my asthma came back. Anyway, when I was pregnant and went on temporary disability I was given 60% of my salary. And that’s what I’m going for, to get up to 32 weeks of temporary disability while I can still get paid and have health insurance for my 2 year old. I work for a large food service company. I’m a field leader. And thought this was a good place to get some advice.
