So I work for a retail chain of grocery stores and one of the kids from another department started having a panic so he ran to the back room to calm down. My nighttime manager went back there yelled at him and called him incompetent for trying to calm himself down without going into a full breakdown. Come to figure out yesterday, I was getting paid $9/hr for soon to be 3 months instead of $15/hr and I’m getting paid $1382.76 in back pay. I’ve been stressing living credit to credit because of car issues and then used all my savings for bills and to pay for my car because I was getting paid $6 less than what I was supposed to. She was only 71 years old at death. She would work OT to pad her retirement she said. She only lasted 3 years after retiring. What a waste, still young. I personally am on track to retire 58/59 if I keep at this job, I hope I get more than a few years. This work to 65, 67 whatever is a sham. They want every ounce of our good years so we can just rot and not pull all our saved money. Its sick.
