Pathetic attempt to downplay employee loss

I work at a manufacturing facility with secure access. Just inside the front door HR posts a list of the employees that have been newly hired as well as those that have recently left. This is available to reference in case someone shows up requesting access and you're not sure if they should be let in or not. Like everywhere else we have had and continue to have employee retention issues. HR has silently made the change of limiting the list of employees who left to the last 2 or 3 weeks, but keeping the list of new hires back to the start of the year. At a glance it makes it look like we've hired twice as many people as we've had leave. For anyone with a brain it makes it look like management is scared to permit reality in, and is a daily reminder of how hard they…
