Hi guys, so in the last few weeks I had a job offer with a decent pay increase from another organisation, I approached my current employer to ask if they'd like to keep me/match the pay increase. They were very keen to keep me but after a tight year they came a little short of what the other job was offering. I decided to stay anyway and accepted the smaller pay increase. Flash forward to today – pay day, my money hit my account but was the usual amount, not reflecting the pay increase.
Would you consider this an oversight or could they be stringing me along to pay me less for as long as possible?
