Paychecks will likely be even later.

Part 1 TLDR Pt 1: Payroll wasn’t run on time at the small company I work at. Because of the holiday instead of being paid on Friday we would be paid on Tuesday (because Monday was a holiday). TLDR Pt 1: Payroll wasn’t run on time at the small company I work at. Because of the holiday instead of being paid on Friday we would be paid on Tuesday (because Monday was a holiday). I’m fine, I’m in a stable financial position but many of my coworkers are not. I’ve been debating quitting this job for a bit to focus on my own small business again anyway.

It’s now past midnight on Tuesday morning and still no paystub has been generated on our payroll system. I usually don’t track when those show up very closely, but one would think it would be there by now.

Tomorrow my plan is to wake up and check my bank account. If it’s not there I will be sending a message to our entire department group chat asking if anyone got their deposit. Inevitably everyone will say no and I’ll say “I’m not comfortable working any more shifts until I’m paid for the ones I’ve already worked”

I can afford to not have this job, so I will be making a fuss so that the people who do need this job will have someone standing up for them.
