Payroll errors

My husband gets paid 2x a month and is commission. A couple of months ago they messed up his check and he got several hundred dollars less than what he was owed. They fixed it by adding what was owed to the next check. Not the best since we have our bills scheduled to be paid around his checks. We were late on some payments and had to go without some things and be very frugal until he got paid again. Not the end of the world but very inconvenient. They have done it again this month. The main problem is that it’s Christmas! He’s been putting in overtime so we can afford Christmas but because of their mistake he won’t get paid again until January! This means we have $200 for presents for our kids, food, and bills. They’re refusing to cut another check and say we have to…

They have done it again this month. The main problem is that it’s Christmas! He’s been putting in overtime so we can afford Christmas but because of their mistake he won’t get paid again until January! This means we have $200 for presents for our kids, food, and bills. They’re refusing to cut another check and say we have to wait until next month. I don’t know what we can do about this and I’m starting to panic.

He has worked for this company for 11 years and while they used to make payroll mistakes all the time, it’s been a few years since the last one until these last 2 instances. We need him to keep his job so I don’t know how to get the point across that this isn’t okay in a way that would also allow him to stay. Any suggestions or advice?
