Have you heard of this “non profit” in Lansing, MI, USA?
Exploiting the disabled and veterans for the lowest possible wage in warehousing and the other industries they touch on. Produce farming is another it seems. $15. You only get $3 more if you work at the shitty warehouse on Aurelius for 10 hours a day.
There is another $4 per hour that goes to a 403B ( 401k for non profit employee )
They also use their non profit status to circumvent medical discrimination laws against marijuana users.
Me: Hmm, so it's been legal in Michigan for over a decade and has been medically proven to greatly improve the quality of life for certain Veterans and disabled individuals.
Lady: Well it's not recognized at the federal level so we don't recognize it.
Me: ok well remove me from the applicant pool and please don't ever call me in for an interview ever again.
I'm the 1st Vet she has seen in years to interview with no disabilities. She was so surprised and happy. It's cuz I smoke lady.
They seem like they are getting plenty of funding due to their nice new buildings and yet pay staff such a tiny wage. They pocket the rest
Prove me wrong.
I posted this in r/ Michigan and it was removed with in hours so I'd say that is a definite yes they are exploiting the disabled and veterans.
