I work at a floyds barbershop, and I actually love my job and what I do , however they have made some intense changes, taking us from 2 clients per hour to 4 clients per hour. Basically forcing us to do more work in less time.
The guy in this video is one of our higher-ups and he is the one enforcing this change. This video of him really rubs us the wrong way and there is basically nothing we can do about it. Some of my coworkers have already quit because of this, clients are leaving bad reviews that only affect our shop and our managers who are doing their best to keep us happy and not lose their jobs themselves. Apparently home office “doesn't see the bad reviews ” so we have to tell our clients to go to corporate about it if they want to express how they feel.
I love making people feel good , I don't want to rush, I don't want anyone to feel rushed, I don't want to mess up anyone's haircut and I want people to feel like I am actually taking the time to let them relax a little and make adjustments as needed and maybe add on services if they want. Our front desk people are getting the shit end of the stick of this too because they constantly have to call people to reschedule or tell people to come in later and it is just overall a nightmare. I just needed to vent about this
