I was put on a performance improvement plan at work less than 2 months before going out on maternity leave and while having an accommodation for the pregnancy being high risk. I met the goals of this plan but my supervisor never followed up or checked in. I also never spoke to HR. I have now returned from maternity leave and have been told the performance improvement plan is being extended and my boss wants to discuss what the goals will be. I feel at this point they are just trying to get me to quit or covering themselves in order to fire me. They just didn’t feel they could do it before my maternity leave.
Anyone have thoughts or advice? I did set up a meeting to chat with my HR rep next week.
