Next task for me – set up some Holiday sets for a reasonably progressive EU headquartered Multinational for their subsidiary in Japan for their phone system, this allows calls received during public holidays to be routed to voicemail or an on call person during public holidays and the like.
So I’ve got the list of dates, open a New holiday set, start inputting the dates, rinse and repeat and then…. theres no Add button, glitch? Maybe, save the set and close.
Edit the set, still no Add button
Check a existing Holiday set, Add button present, compare with the new set.
Yeah the System has a hard limit of 10 dates or ranges, cos who (in a US mindset) needs more than 10 PH a year?
I’m off to create a second holiday set for that Japanese site and I’m happy they get 24 days of public holidays next year. But damn sometimes you don’t see how much US business thinking is applied to a “global” product until it slaps you in the face like that.
Looking forward to setting up multiple holiday sets for their Malaysian subsidiary next
