I'm going to try to make a long story short.
I'm in college and needed to work as I have kids. Went through a housefire had to move. Had to find work as fast as possible.
So, when I started, our manager couldn't work on anything due to some issue with carpel tunnel… whatever, so all the work was evenly split between me and one other dude. EVENLY. I felt that's fair, and all is good.
The pay here is GARBAGE, 10/hr. So the bonus I made off of working on phones made it worth it somewhat. A couple of extra hundred bucks a month.
Here's where it gets funky. Now that the manager is better, the new rule is. Whoever gets to the customer first gets the work.
I specifically do not work in these types of environments because I don't want to deal with the animosity it creates. If I knew this was what it would be, I'd not have taken the job.
It is incredibly difficult to find work here, but I'm trying. The minute I get something, I'm out of here. Can't handle this anymore.
Been trying to find something wfh, and I'm working on my bachelors in data science. Why are employers like this?!?!
