Last week I had an interview with a video production company. One of their questions included making a pitch for a story that would have broad state appeal. I thought a few moments and made one. In retrospect I thought I should have declined. They could make an informed decision about my ideas based on my reel instead of asking for a freebie. If you want ideas, hire me. Sure, it probably would have definitely ended the interview (no contract since), but integrity.
