So wife and I like to order an occasional pizza from a chain near everyone. We tipped online, we rarely carry cash any more. I was waiting outside, enjoying some sunshine, driver pulled up and asked if I was waiting for door dash. Mind you, I ordered through the pizza chain app, I told her no, you must be at the wrong house, I ordered from “pizza place.”
She explains to me that they use door dash to deliver pizzas because of their own lack of drivers. I was curious so I asked her if she received the tip I added online, she closed the order and checked, she did not. So here I am, cash-less, a door dash driver with no tip, and a high profit pizza chain who kept my tip for reasons.
Guess I need to try to keep a ten on me when we order pizza.
