Antiwork

Place I interviewed at admitted that the job is dead end and boring.

It's a job that has been split in two so that they don't have to pay for benefits. Very little PTO capped at 40hrs that you earn, no WFH (for office lackeys. It's “company policy”, but managers can work remotely), if you are scheduled to work on a day that is a holiday, you get holiday pay, but since this job is split, the other person can go hang, meaning that someone gets more holiday pay than their counterpart. Pay was average for the area. There isn't even free coffee in the office. I asked them what the incentive was to work there. I laid it all out in excruciating detail. They had no answer. I removed my candidacy for the position. And man, it felt GOOD to tell them off. Employers, pay your employees. And stop acting all shocked that your turnover rate it so high.
