I am a 15 year old high schooler who gets payed minimum wage to work as an assistant at an afterschool camp in my town.
Anyways about two weeks ago one of the young kids comes to camp with a dry cough, a headache, and a stomach ache. I ask said kid if she is sick and she says no. The whole time she is lagging behind the rest of the group and having constant coughing fits. About two days later I start to feel sick and decide to take a COVID test. Big surprise, I test positive. Because of this I am now forced to miss a spring break trip that I have been looking forward to for five or six months.
So please for the love of god please do not send your kid, who you know is sick to any form of childcare unless absolutely necessary. (I should probably add that this camp generally attracts a higher income crowd of parents, so I’m sure the parents would not have had trouble staying home to care for their kid)
