Possible Motto

This might not belong here but if anyone has heard the song “W-4” by Dead Prez, it's kind of what I visualize the angrier side of this subreddit to be. I thought about this due to a recent post about what antiwork is. It might be rap and a little rough, but it sums up my idea of antiwork and the mindset that all of us have been placed in to. If it's not allowed, do the thing mods. Also, extremely irritated, worked with a shit captain through the summer Bristol Bay sockeye season who still hasn't paid me the ending 30% of the catch for the entire season (read, thousands of dollars) got ahold of state wage and labor board, they don't handle commercial fishing cases. They gave me the number for federal wage and labor, also don't handle commercial fishing cases. We're required to pay taxes still though.…

They gave me the number for federal wage and labor, also don't handle commercial fishing cases. We're required to pay taxes still though. Keep in mind this season was the largest run in recorded history, myself and 2 other crewman, one of which is a minor have yet to be paid that last percentage. I've dealt with a few Captains/companies like this so far and I can't begin to explain how much it sucks to know that I pay wild amounts in to taxes (state worked, state you're a resident of, etc) and the just absolute limited amount of protection we have when it comes to things like this. The money is insane…when it's insane. And when it's not…you're fucked. But you still dedicate the hours regardless, if we could ever get a fisherman's union it would be glorious, but we're stuck harder than the railroad workers union.
