I was recently hired as a bus aide for a local hesdstart program. I was originally told I would be assigned to my daughters bus route in the mornings and would only be needed 2-3 days a week, which is what I was looking for. I just had a new baby in January so I was only looking for something to get me out of the house a few times a week.
My training began this week and the company paid for me to get my CPR/AED certification on Tuesday and Wednesday (I'll have to pay if I quit, not sure how much) and I was told I'd be getting my assigned route after the final class Wednesday. At the end of the Wednesday, they told us to be back at 8am the next day (Thurs) and mentioned something about next Tuesday, very vague even when people asked questions. Also annoying because I have two kids to worry about and had only planned being away for the two days of training I was told about. It's now Friday and I'm getting ready to go back, I'm not sure for what. I still haven't got my route or much other information, only that we will be needed M-F now as they continue to hire. Yesterday they had us installing seat belts on the busses, which it didn't seem like any of us were qualified to do.
I think I'm going to keep doing applications until I find something more legitimate?
