Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I just need to vent. I'm upset. Mods feel free to delete this if it isn't the place to post.
Without giving specifics, my dad (50M) got a job at the beginning of the year. He struggled over the past three or four years with getting a job because of COVID and the lack of people willing to hire him for the right amount of money.
Again, he recently got this new job. He has to drive into his office every day, never leaves said office because it's all on the computer, and sometimes he'll have to fly out of state/country for something. His job very much could be work from home, his boss just doesn't want him to. “Maybe in a year,” he said.
I don't have a year. I can't work. I have issues, I'd probably be on SSI if I could get a diagnosis, but I don't qualify for medicaid in my state to GET a diagnosis. In the state we were looking at moving to, I would absolutely qualify. I could get everything wrong with me fixed or medicated.
This is just frustrating to no end. I just don't understand why they make you go into the office when it's not necessary. It's just a waste of gas money going back and forth.
