So my job gives us a small bonus twice a year which I haven’t been eligible to get so far because I am still on probation.
They announced a bonus today and my probation ends on 1st Feb so literally about two weeks more. The bonus is $5000 and HR emailed me that it’s gonna be prorated to $3000 and I will get it after probation ends. I don’t understand this. What is this weird calculation that takes out $2000 for two weeks. Not to mention, I’ve been working very hard and being made to cover up for people too when they’re not there which is literally all the time. How can I contest this? Also; this is a government organization
