I work for a state agency. Boss and culture have recently shown true colors, treated me poorly and I’m done. Looking for insight and perspective on not resigning but simply ceasing to produce or do anything I don’t want to. Letting manager navigate the bureaucratic pain of firing me while I collect a few more checks.
What are the downsides or risks to this? I’m not ever getting a good reference from her anyways. Would I get put on some sort of blacklist for state agencies (Virginia)? Or what else should I consider?
