POV: You’re me. Working from home on one of your 2 remote days. Have to clock in 15 minutes early due to day after holiday.
Have IBS & lactose intolerance. Plus taking stimulants for ADHD.
Use the restroom before clocking in at 7:45. At 8:33 stomach says bathroom is needed again.
Message from boss via teams (which I no longer have on my cell phone and obviously did not bring laptop to the bathroom lol) [typos and poor grammar included in messages from boss lol again]
“hey how are you are you ok its 833 and your on break you ok”
I don’t respond on teams.
Text from boss at 8:35:
“Hey where are u”
Me: “I’m in the restroom.”
Boss: “everything ok?”
“Girl u need to go before u start ur morning lol”
“Not right after u sign on”
Me: “Okay, I do that too. Sorry.”
“I am just wondering if everyone else is also monitored this way?”
Boss: “they are its not personal (my name)”
“But your numbers are the lowest right now on my report”
Me: “Okay, just verifying.”
Numbers are referring to incoming calls taken. My numbers are not the lowest. I’ve been doing this for 5 years. This has never been brought up to me previously. I recently had my yearly evaluation (if you can call it that. We didn’t meet, she just sent me my copy to sign) and this was not brought up.
