Antiwork

Put in my two weeks today to pursue my music.

My company has been remote for the last two years, and just like many others here, they are now forcing everyone back into the office. I've been a musician for a number of years, and yet haven't been able to pursue it fully while working full time. That being said, I still had time since I was remote. A few weeks back they have started to end remote work (even after record profits) in favor of slowly dragging everyone back into the office. Music isn't just my passion but my ultimate goal to make a living, and while I don't think I'll ever be some huge artist, I enjoy making folk/indie styled music. So I decided to take a chance on myself and leave my position. I'm just a little folk artist, but it's nice to look into the mirror today, and feel secure that I'm doing what is right…

I'm just a little folk artist, but it's nice to look into the mirror today, and feel secure that I'm doing what is right for both my family and my soul.

If you are an artist, I hope you are pursuing your dreams. In this age of soul sucking numbness, it's good to feel a warmth in my spirit again.
