I was hired at $14/hr which as we all know is not a liveable wage, especially in my city. Then as a “perk” I was put on salary so I could get PTO and insurance. I wasn't jumping for joy.
I've worked here for 10 months and though I've started doing more, supervising certain aspects of the job, and have asked to be trained to do more they are dragging their feet for 5 months to train me and my boss said I cant get a raise till I get trained to do more.
I made the terrible mistake of enjoying and even “loving” working here till I once again realized it's just another job where I make my bosses rich and they dont care about you. I'm back on antidepressants from the mental strain this place does to me.
