I'm traveling for work for the first time with this iob and being granted a per diem. I am being told to submit reciepts to our payment system for reimbursement up to x dollars.
My job treats me well, but frankly, I don't eat much and if they're willing to give me the money for food, I'd really just like the money period. They don't offer that option.
I know it isn't exactly ethical, but if I can't have the cash and I dont like to eat heavily, are there places where I can buy… idk anything that will kepp, and it won't be itemized on a receipt? I'll be on a plane with carry on luggage only.
Ultimately, I am not really struggling financially or anything, so I can be fine without working around this, but I have some financial abuse issues (not job related) and am feeling a little wound up.
I'd love to know some options for places that don't itemize purchases or other workarounds if they exist. Asking for cash is 100% not an option.
