Question: working weekends

Hey y’all, I own a small bakery and have one full time employee and one part time that only works 2 weekdays currently. Generally, I try to schedule my FT off for a full weekend every other week. On the between weeks, I only schedule them for one weekend day. So, if they had this whole weekend off, they’d work either Saturday or Sunday next week. Would it be a lot to ask to have them come in on another weekend day instead of a weekday? Weekend are our busiest time and it’s hard for me to work them alone, but I also want to give them a good work/life balance. When I worked in a bakery, I worked every weekend and didn’t mind it too much given the industry, but wanted to hear other thoughts.

If it matters, they make a good wage (22.50/hour minimum with tips), good sick and vacation time(paid holidays and more than a month of sick and vacation time), 80% coverage in quality benefits, and paid lunches.
