I took my licensing exam & I passed! I'm now a Life & Health Insurance Agent! I just need to do my fingerprints & apply for my license. I start my new job on Monday!
I get my final paycheck from my former job tomorrow & that'll mainly go to rent & my phone bill. Although I'm entitled to unemployment for the week I didn't work, I probably won't apply for it. It was a headache applying for that during the beginning of the pandemic when we were let go from our jobs, so I don't think doing it for one week is necessary.
When I wasn't studying or doing things around the house, I've been enjoying the alone time & quiet. Two things I didn't have much of since the pandemic started. It's been very restful & healing. I'm sleeping better, my appetite is better & I'm happier. It's true what they say: sometimes the worse thing that can happen is the best thing for you. If they didn't threaten me, I would've still been there & miserable for another 5-6 months before looking around.
If you're stuck in a shitty or toxic job, hang in there! Better is coming. Sometimes you gotta make the leap before you're ready & figure it out along the way. I've learned the best lessons that way. A song lyric I love says it best: Don't know where I'm gonna land, but you gotta wobble before you stand Enjoy your Holidays!
