idk if this is the right sub but i worked at a hotel in miami beach and just recently came back from vacation about a week ago (bare with me as it’s integral to the story), my old bosses have been offering me a promotion but i declined a good 5 times because i don’t want the responsibility nor will they give me the raise i deserve for dealing with that shit. since i was working in 3 different departments, i’ve been asking for a raise but they’ve been blowing me off for months on end. so she decided to not do any of her work the week i was gone and saved it all for me so that i could do it when i came back. these are things that SHE should be doing if she’s a boss… right?? anyways, today she decides to blame me for her mess and tries to make me fix it so i get up, gather my things and go straight to her office and tell her i quit. she tries to gaslight me and so i put her in her place and left. i sent an email to HR basically explaining the situation and my reasons of resignation. she then replies comparing her situation to mine as if it has ANYTHING to do with what i’m telling her… so then i reply to her and once i did, she proceeded to deactivate EVERYTHING of mine; including my access to see my pay stubs and all of that. seems like i might have hurt someone’s feelings 🙁
tldr: i quit my job, told my HR rep what happened and went off on her when she tried to justify all the wrongdoings of the company and compare herself to me. (can’t lie feel like i was a bit harsh but it is what it is)
