Before I start this is a just a side hustle so don’t feel bad for me. So the company I work for has a unique pay structure. We have different Sales representatives (that’s me) that are all in charge of a regional territory than we have a sales manager that is in charge of a much larger region. For example my manager is in charge of west of the Mississippi River. I work underneath him and am in charge of Texas. The Main factory pays the sales manager the commission and he is in charge of paying the sales representatives. The sales manager has been paying me slowly. He owes me for 2 commissions. I am not necessarily mad at him for that because the main office pays him slow. I asked some of the other reps if they had any advice. They said they started getting paid directly from…

They said they started getting paid directly from the main office and there is not as much of a slow pay. They both also mentioned that I get paid $250 less per sale then them. I asked my manager today if there was a way for the main office to pay me directly so it shortens the slow paying. He said No. i said “well then other reason I am asking is because i am getting paid less than everyone else in the company and I wanted that corrected”. He said you get paid $750 per sale and that is fair. I patiently explained that fair would be equal pay. He then went on a rant about how he is the one who pays for chargebacks from the main office and the other reps who get paid from the main office pay their own chargebacks. I said I am more than willing to take on that responsibility (i haven’t had a chargeback in 3 years). He still refused. I said than I will not be selling anymore. He then accused me of holding him up for money. I am just asking for fairness. Now I am sure Reddit is going to assume the worst and accuse my manager of not wanting to take a hit on his income to pay me. I don’t think it is the case. I feel like he likes the power of holding my money. I feel this way because of how dismissive he was to me when I brought up the facts. Anyway. Glad you guys listened. Haa
