I have been in the same job (marketing director) at the same company for over 7 years. I have been burnt out for years (I’m good at marketing but I hate it – at least doing it for someone else). After having my first baby and coming back to work, I have officially had enough. It feels like I’m metaphorically digging my heels in when my boss expects more from me etc. I just DGAF. Anyway, once I collect my end of the year bonus I am giving notice. Since I’ll be focusing on building my own biz and staying home with my baby, end date is flexible. For those who have done the same in a “higher up” role, how much notice did you give?
