Hoping to find some advice, figured that here would possibly be better than r/jobs or r/careerguidance. For context, I (17F) work at my local Mcdonalds, and have done so since August this year. I recently slipped on the kitchen floors whilst taking out a bin bag and fractured my elbow (thankfully quite minor but i am off work for two weeks) and workers comp is paying for it all. I've been contemplating quitting due to it, and honestly I have wanted to quit since my first day. Most people who come in are nice but the odd few that aren't are just awful. Karen level awful.
So is quitting over an injury caused by greasy floors (which I have had multiple issues with and have slipped many times before, just not fallen) a valid reason? Or is it the same as demanding blunt paper because you got a papercut?
Editing to add that I am located in Australia, and this is my first job. Majority of my location is staffed by 14 and 15yr olds, and my own 15yr old brother has worked there for over a year. I have been applying for jobs every week since I started working there, and have had one interview total (which was unsuccessful), and I have had to cancel another interview that I had lined up due to this injury.
